About Wahana Lingkungan Hidup Indonesia
Wahana Lingkungan Hidup Indonesia (WALHI: The Indonesian Forum for Environment ) started in 1986 as a forum of activists and people who shared the same concerns for Indonesian environmental issues. As WALHI expanded, they began to reach out to the public to get them more involved in their environmental actions and awareness programs. Their projects include environmental advocacy regarding government policies on mining, energy, forestry, landscape, urban planning, food security, agrarian affairs, water resources, and disaster management.
